I need some help. I'm working with black fondant (used the "True black MMF" recipe- first time...should never do that!!) and it keeps tearing. It feels almost wet, but not at the same time if that can even possibly make sense. It's not overly sticky, but it's crumbly. If I add any crisco it gets sticky to where it sticks on my hands. I can roll it out, but I can't lift it, and if I do get enough to lift, once I put it on the cake, before I've even finished setting it on top of the cake, the sides have torn off and it's left a round circle on top. I've tried making it thinner, making it thicker, adding corn syrup, adding ps, adding crisco...I don't know what to do, and this is for my cousin's wedding tomorrow! Can anyone offer any suggestions to make this fondant work?!
