Is it OK to ship Chocolate Truffles? Since they're made with heavy cream, I'm wondering if they will go bad. I know you can order them from stores and they ship fine, but I wasn't sure if there was something special they did to be able to ship them. I won't be sending them far (I'm in NY, NY and I'll be sending them to Long Island, NY).

Any thoughts?

I ship truffles, cake balls and other choclate candies frequently. Be sure to freeze or refrigerate them until shipping and wrap the box/ container in thermal bubble wrap before you put it in the shipping box. Also I always ship priority mail to minimize shipping time. I've never had a problem shipping this way (although in hot months I only ship chocolates in small foam colers with food safe freezer packs)
