Im making a briefcase cake for a church even. I would really like to have the briefcase slightly opened with some magazines in between... problem is i have no idea how to make it to where it looks open...

I've done similar with suitcase two ways. One was cake cut to shape on board held up with dowels. Another was top make of RKT and set. Much lighter, and can sit right on the magazines. hth
