New To Cutout Cookies. Help Please
Baking By Heavenlydelights107 Updated 30 Nov 2010 , 3:38am by Heavenlydelights107
I took an order for 2 dozen train cookies. I am going to try the NFSC recipe here, but what icing would be the best for these cookies?
Here is the cutter

Also, what would you charge per cookie, wrapped in a cookie bag w/a bow?
Thanks, appreciate any feedback!
Check out my photos of the halloween cookies - pumpkins. They turned out really cute, and I HATE making cut out cookies - well I USED TO! I used royal icing and fondant to decorate. Rolled buttercream would be great - use it as a cutout and place on the cookie then decorate with either more rolled buttercream or fondant accents - windows, wheels, etc. Good luck!
Check out karenscookies.net. She has videos and tutorials for beginners including one where she shows how to use different icings.
In your opinions, what is the easiest icing, and cleanest for beginners? I am thinking I am going to ice the whole thing in blue, let dry and then add black wheels, steam stack etc.
