How Do I Spiral All The Way Around Cake. . .
Decorating By gloria Updated 25 Nov 2010 , 6:42pm by gloria
the tutorial on this site doesn't show me (or I can't understand it!).
Does anyone have any pics or explanations for me.
thanks
a road going round the cake, starting from the top (3 tier?) and spiraling around to the bottom. There is a tutorial on Cake Central - search SPIRAL CAKE - but I can't really get my head around it.
I have one in my pix, i just use fondant with candy clay mixed and cut the road and placed it on my cake, i just spiraled it around. I looked at a pic she brought to me and knew how it was done. there are other pix on this site with spiral roads on them . hth
I'm actually going for more of a look like you have done for your skiier (grooms cake) but I want it to keep going round and down.
ok, i actually carved on that cake and made it look like that. someone did a tutorial about the same way i did that. i will try to help find it. but, yes, i did carve that look. i don,t carve much , so i just guessed and stood back and looked and went on with it. lol!! i think this is the tutorial. hope you see it.

Maybe this tutorial will help. It has a top view to get a good visual. (see how you can use the cut away section to flip onto the next level?)

This one is the closest to what I am looking for. The spiral goes all the way around.
thank you for this.
