Sorry if this is a repost, but I've searched all morning and can't find it. I wanted to purchase Sam's club buttercream, but the nearest Sam's is so far away. I wondered what other caker's experience was with this brand.

Thanks in advance!

Why not make your own buttercream? Its so much better than the Sams stuff (I dont know about the other you're asking about).

My recipe is as follows, enjoy!

1c butter (two sticks, room temp)
1c veg shortening
1tsp vanilla (or more to taste)
about 2lbs powdered suguar

Cream butter, shortening for about 10 minutes. Add in vanilla. Slowly add in sugar. You may need to add a few tablespoons of milk to thin the consistancy. Sometimes I do, sometimes I dont!

Have fun!

Thank you Beth, I will try this recipe. I usually do make my own, but I left my kitchenaid and a family member's house out of town, and wasn't sure if I could get it smooth with a hand mixer.
