I'm making cake pops and am wondering what the "right" texture is for after you've mixed in the frosting and have rolled them into balls. It seems too mushy to me, but any less mushy and it wouldn't hold together. It kind of reminds me of cookie dough a little bit. Is this the correct texture? I only used a few tbsp's of frosting

My first time was too wet and the stick went right trough the pop. Second time, I add just enough icing so it would hold it's shape.
