I have received a request for a cake with double the height than the cake needed..I think. She wants to serve 150 people but want a string of fake pearls and ribbon on the bottom of each tier. What is the most cost effective way to do this? The middle tier will have a bow with a brooch in it and the top tier will have a bouquet of roses with a large silver initial in it. I have never put anything between the tiers before so any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I told her 4" tiers and she wanted the cake to make a great statement so she wants it way taller. How tall is too tall for a cake tier?

I'm not sure there is a "too high", but anything over 3 layers of cake, I'd put supports in between.
