Okay, I am new and I have a few questions. Are you all professional bakers out there? I just looked through the gallery because I'm trying to make a cake for a Halloween party this weekend. I think I'm going to do the candy corn cake because it seems easy- sort of. Anyone made that? I wonder how long it takes to frost because it looks pretty detailed.

I am also going to attempt to make a birthday cake for my daughter's first birthday in December. She's adorable so I would love to make a great cake- anyone have any ideas for something not too difficult?

Nope, we're not all professionals here. But I can tell you my cakes look nothing like most of the cakes here! These folks are really talented. They are also extremely helpful and kind. I am a newb too so this is all confusing and exciting to me also.
