I know the average wedding cake tier is supposed to be 4 inches but this looks taller than 4 inches? Is this maybe 6 inches? I made the bottom tier last weekend and the tier was 7 inches which looked too tall but when I tried 4 inches it looked too short.

I usually see these "tall" cakes as about 6". That proportion seems right.

They look atleast 6 to 8 inches tall. Usually a wedding cake is consisted of two 2" cakes for one tier but they probably added a third and along with the filling it gave it the extra height. Beautiful cake though! Love the floral!

Actually this looks like an 8"/6"/4" cake, the tiers being 4" tall. Since the cakes are small, the 4" looks taller.

I just did a cake in those dimensions for a magazine photo shoot and the 4" looks nice and tall in those sizes.
