How long can cupcakes (made from a box mix) stay out at room temp without going bad?

If I have to leave mine out, I put them on a cookie sheet and wrap it tightly with plastic wrap. It seals in the moisture to keep them from drying out. I have kept them like that for a day or two, no longer than that, because they seem to dry out if left out longer. If you need to keep them longer, you can always freeze them too.

I agree with writecakes. I don't like to leave the cupcakes out to long as they tend to dry out.[/quote]

Thanks ladies! I had someone who wanted me to bake them so that they could sell them in their shop....I was wondering how they could keep them fresh!
