I'm a hobby baker and this is a gift cake. I want to put an edible image on a birthday cake I'm doing for a friend next month. I've never used one before. It is going to be on a buttercream cake. I am wondering if I can put the image on a white chocolate candy melt background instead of right on the buttercream. Would that work? I'm also thinking that since the image is a sports logo that it would be nice to have it on chocolate so I can prop it up on the cake. So my question is... can an edible image be put on chocolate. The image is a frosting sheet image. Thanks!

Yes, you can put the image on chocolate. Place the image upside down it the mold and place the tempered chocolate on top. Allow to harden. Works like a charm!

When I use edible images I place it on a piece of fondant. Cut to fit. I also stand my images up this way. Take a look at my pics. Snow White, Spiderman and Transformers are all edible images.
