I'm a legal and full steam ahead production now! I've been waiting to reveal my info on here until things were rolling We are PINK CRUSH CAKERY operating in the awesome state of Washington. My name was going to be Yellow Cottage Cakery-and I'm so glad I changed it! I thought getting legal was going to be harder so I can honestly say if that is whats holding you back go for it! After getting my license the most pain in the butt part was the health department, but they actually did a decent job of working with me to find the best permit(s). The only down side was the 345 dollar processing fee (yowza). It was all worth it though because now we are legal and have already gotten some contracts with the local bars and coffee shops to sell out of (courtesy of networking-which while was another pain in the butt-it was also fun!).
Thanks for looking and sharing my excitement!

Congratulations!! Being legal feels good doesn't it? (yes!)
I was one of those stubborn people that waited until I had my license and talked to the health department before even thinking about exchanging money with someone. I had it in my mind that it was going to be SO hard to get legal, but the hardest part was the stupid health department permit fee (I still can't figure out how they can charge so much) LOL In addition, the health department guy was super nice and really informative! He said he will be checking in on me at different events like the bazaars I'm signed up for. It is new and exciting-I only hope to be as successful as some of my CC friends!
