I want to make a giant cupcake for my cupcake lovin sister's birthday, but I don't want to buy the special pan and would like to make it bigger than the pan set also. Anyone have instructions or a tutorial on how to do this?? TIA!!

You could do the same type of thing with round pans and a metal (oven safe) bowl. Personally, I like that better than the special pan.

I made one...

I stacked 3 8in pans (2inches high) then I got a soccer ball pan made by Wilton as the top and then I decorated. I will post a pic in a few.
