does anyone know if there is a pre-made navy blue fondant out there? i need to make a navy blue football helmet, don't have an airbrush. am afraid adding coloring to blue fondant would make it soft and sticky. could you mix pre-made blue and black? any suggestions welcome.

I had to do a Yankees themed cake and could not find navy blue fondant. After several tries, I ended up buying navy blue color and mixing. However, it still dried much lighter than I liked, so I ended up brushing with navy blue food coloring afterwards. It was messy and I would not do it again. Hope someone else has a suggestion.

Satin Ice sells a blue fondant. It is not navy but if you add the Americolor navy gel you can get navy w/o having to add a ton of coloring. The blue base color gives you a head start on getting a darker color.
