Do you keep pricing the same for cupcakes as cake servings? For example, if BC servings are $3/servings, and fondant servings start at $4/serving, would BC/fondant cupcake be the same? It seems like it should be more b/c of the additional time aspect, but just wondering what other people do. icon_smile.gif

I used to charge the same (I'm $7.25/svg base for buttercream or fondant wedding/tiered cakes) but now we sell cupcakes in the shop for $3.50-4 each. So now basic cupcakes cost that even when added to a wedding order. That is for a basic cupcake tho, additional decor is additional $$$ and it goes up pretty quickly because each piped rose or whatever is one every. single. last. one. Our party (single tier) cake pricing breaks down to about the $3.50-4 range so it is the same there.

We have a cupcake store in town and they charge 2.75 each for a regular cupcake and 3.00 for a specialty cupcake. You might want to check out their website and see if it's close to what you would be making. Icingonthecupcake.com
