I got the cricut a couple of months ago. After playing with it a few times and not being awfully successful, I put this on the back burner. Now I would like to give it another shot!

For those of you who are pros at this, I was wanting a little input on the gumpaste.

How long is best to let this dry out before cutting?

How do you get intricate pieces off the mat without them breaking? With the crisco on the mat, it's very sticky!

well i am most definelty NOT a pro, but have just recently been given one as a gift, so i have been trying differnt techniques. last night i tried gumpaste and i moistend each side with crisco (light covering) i put it on a med setting and it seemed to work fab! i was pretty impressed. i did remove the print directly and did not let it dry at all (using gumpaste i was afraid it would crack) i just carefully peeled back my letters, using that flex mat helps. good luck!

thanks, maybe I'll try not letting it dry. I feel like I have tried a bunch of different ways, but I havent gotten it right.
