I would like to make a Chevy s10 truck next week for my husbands birthday and I'm a bit nervous about it.
This is my plan:
Bake sheet cakes
stack and fill
put pics of the truck on the sides to sculpt
This is where my dilemna begins:
I have no clue about the base. When i sculpt the cake, should i do it on a regular cake board? What do I do so that the tires aren't squished, or stubby? I have no clue or cannot envision the bottom of the "truck", how and to what do you move it to so that it's elevated? I've read alot on here about different ways, but i just cannot "see" it. I'm worried about how it's moved and placed on another board or surface, i don't know....... can you sense my frustrations? icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif
TIA

Here is a link to a discussion I had with a couple people regarding making my first truck cake. They were very helpful!
