How do you get the scroll work on sides of cake with buttercream or fondant icing?

You pipe it Really hon, not sure what your ? is.
Elevate(sp?) the cake on anything so it is at eye level and pipe away.

I agree, having your cake at eye level helps. I have a bar that is higher than my island that is the perfect height for me to do that kind of work.
