Ok I was just wondering if there is anyone out there that could help me! My problem is buying cake decorating items, Every other week I'm buying cake pan, decorating tool/items, books, dvd's, etc, cookie cutters, scoops, and royal icing and candy items spending anywhere between 150 dollars to 250 dollars. I really dont have the space for too much more of this stuff, so what would be the best items to buy, far as rolling pin, cake pan, and flower cutters, books or dvd's etc,I would perfer to have the best items so I can maybe sell some of the items I have. (Maybe) Please help I'm spending to much money on these items, I have so called cut back and went on ebay to buy some items well He** I still spend alot on all the things I won or brought. Please help and recommend the best items for cake decorating.

For me the best tools are the PME cutters with plungers.
They are the easiest and quickest cutters! The leaves come out veined too.
My favorite are the rose and ivy leaves cutters. The flowers are all very nice too.

The FMM frill cutters set (straight ones) is wonderfull too!

The PME stitching tool! Makes wonderful effects!!!

And a turn table is most useful!

Hope it helps! icon_smile.gif

Hmmmm, had to give this a bit of thought about what I use every day and here you go:

Magic Line square pans
Springform round pans
Roll of parchment paper (for lining the bottom of the pans)
3 small piping, 3 medium piping, 3 large piping bags
1 set disposable piping bags
Full set of tips
12 couplers
1 heavy rolling pin
1 rolling matt (I have the wilton square one that's about 20x24)
1 sifter
1 set of wilton fondant tools
4 off set spatulas, 3 small and 1 large
1 12 inch serated bread knife for leveling and torting
Basic gell color set (primary and pastel colors)
1 turntable that turns and tilts
Assorted sizes cake cardboard rounds
Assorted sizes of cake drums (I have 2 that I use all the time...one is a 12 inch round an the other is a 14 inch square)
1 tote to hold all of this stuff.

If you can splurge then start working on getting the cutters that you like...I have a full set of round/square/oval and I love them. I feel like I'm forgetting something so I'm sure someone will fill it in! LOL!
