I am looking for a store to purchase cake decorating supplies from in or near charlotte?

Do you mean other places besides AC Moore, Hobby Lobby and Michaels?

Charlotte is full of many locations of all of those stores.

I don't know of a wholesale kind of place for cake supplies around here.

Hello, I live in Charlotte. There is a place called the Cake Shoppe, it's in charlotte, or should I say they classify it as arblemarle because it's on albermarle road. also there is sinfully sweets, cakes etc in the pinevill mathews area. It's in the same area as carolina place mall, off of highway 51. Just call information. These two shops are great.

I live in Greenville but the last time my sister went to Ikea she brought back some Ateco stuff. HTH.

there's a shop http://www.sweetthingcakery.com/ in Statesville that sells a lot of cake supplies. they have a website and I've called to make sure it was in the store before going, http://shop.confectionerswares.com/. if you have a business license you could go to Restaraunt Depot and get bulk items and bulk white Satin Ice. Kitchen Stock on East Blvd or is it South? is another resource I've been to. Gotten some Ateco tips and large bags for a really nice discount. It's open to the public too! Cake Shoppe was mentioned, been there, she has some good stuff. HTH

Oh, you are so in luck. The ICES cake convention will be in Charlotte next weekend. If you don't want to attend the convention, you can still purchase a one day vender's pass.

Thanks for posting this. I went and checked out the site and darn it all I simply can't afford even the 1 day pass. This sure would have helped me with the two wedding cakes I have coming up!
