How far in advance can a FBCT be made? The article I found on here said not to let it stay in the freezer for more than 24 hours. Can it be refrigerated? I want to attempt one for my son's birthday cake, but I don't want to have to do it the day before, just in case I mess up. icon_redface.gif

I did mine about a week in advance, once it was frozen I wrapped the cardboard and transfer with saran wrap.

As long as you cover it well, it should be able to be in the fridge for weeks in theory.

So, would you keep it in the fridge or the freezer?

When I've made them I keep it in the freezer until I'm ready to use it. Not sure how others do it, but it comes off of the wax paper better for me if it's frozen. HTH!

Cool! I made my first attempt last night ( a Thomas the train), and it looks great! I wrapped it really well and plan to keep it in the freezer. Keep your fingers crossed that it does ok when I take it out!
