I've only been to Delish and they were awesome!
You interested in something particular? I have yet to go on the hunt for french macarons in town...
Austin has a place called All in one Bake shop it is a store and a bakery, however i dont know if they are a order only bakery but the store is cool
here's another suggestion:
Sweetish Hill Bakery & Cafe
http://www.sweetishhill.com/
My MIL lives in Austin and this is what she suggested.
1. Sweetish Hill Bakery & Cafe, 1120 W. 6th Street 472-1347
2. Taste No Evil Muffins, next to Maria's Tacos on S. Lamar (about a block from me,but Maria's is VERY famous!! - look for the ship's prow head of Maria)
3. Walton's Fancy & Staple 609 W. 6th 542-3380 (this is one of Sandra Bullock's shops - v-e-r-y nice)
Oh man. I am sorry. Let us know where you end up going. Take some pictures of the stuff! If we can't eat the goodies at least maybe we can see them!
My MIL came up with another bakery.
Delish Bakery
209 W. 3rd
(price sample: 1 doz. cupcakes $16.50)
I haven't been on here in a while. Too busy trying to make it through wedding season I guess. I am actually the head cake decorator at Sweetish Hill Bakery. If you stop by, ask for me. I can give you a tour of the back of the house too. We still make everything from scratch daily. It's an awesome bakery!
I used to work near The Upper Crust Bakery, and their lemon pound cake was divine. They also have a lunch menu:

Well Saturday I ended up at Delish and it was wonderful!! Had the special of the day "chocolate chip cookie dough"! My girlfriends had strawberry and carrot....both said they were fantastic! Sunday headed to Walton's Fancy and Staple but it was closed. Before heading out of town Monday we went back to Delish and I had chocolate peanut-butter and a Mexican Vanilla to go. Both were "delish"!!
I am glad that you got to go there. Those sound yummy. I bet it was hot as heck! Was it a chocolate cupcake that was filled with a peanut butter filling?
