We have a possible job offer in Asheville and I was just needing a contact who lives there, has young kids in elementary school and can answer some questions for me about the general are, ie, where are the best schools, if we rented before we buy are there good and bad areas...

We vacation there frequently, but that's not much help. I'd get in touch with a few realtors and ask them your questions -- they know a lot about a lot of different things.

Well I live in Greenville, SC which is about 45 minutes away from Asheville. I will ask around for you.

Asheville is a beautiful area. It's not as Metro as where I live but there are a lot of great things there that are family oriented.
