I am relatively new to the cake decorating scene, and am having a major problem with my fondant! I live in a fairly remote area and there is only one brand I can get from my local supermarket. I realize I am probably going to have to buy some online (Postage cost = Eek!) but in the meantime I am battling with a major stickiness problem. It is so severe that when I am rolling it out it sticks to my (supposedly non-stick) pastry mat. Is there anything I can do to improve it? Thanks!

Lightly sprinkle your mat with a mixture of cornstarch and powdered sugar.

Rule of thumb...if cracking/breaking add more crisco...if sticking add more powdered sugar. Hope you can find the happy medium! Cat
