I think you need a hot pink gel color to begin with.

Wilton Rose is good for hot pink. I have a one tier 8" with white polka dots in my gallery that was dyed using Wilton's Rose.

Either of Wilton's Rose or their pink make very bright pinks. I have trouble getting soft/light pinks with them.
