Thanks Pacific- I will make the noted changes . I think I will just leave the white part the way it is. I think there is enough"design" elements around itand with the pictures I added. I don't want it to look too busy. I agree white lets the eyes rest and the text much clearer.

Bennett55_ I have been working on it for 2 weeks but only a couple hours each day. I have dial up internet access so it is taking me a bit longer. I used to have a site for my apron store through GoDaddy, I couldn't figure it out either and ended up hosting somewhere else and just using GoDaddy for domain registration and site pointing and forwarding. A friend turned me on to weebly.com and I love it . it is very simple drag and drop, cut and paste. It has a real easy site builder with templates built in. and it is FREE! you can buy a domain name and have it point to your page. but I just kept the free option for now it just adds the word weebly between your name and dot com, not a big deal to me, since I am just going to add the address to my cards. If you know any teenagers they are usually good at web stuff and usually work cheap, maybe you could find a local high school kid wanting some summer $ and experience. Sorry I cant help much with GoDaddy but I do recommend Weebly. Maybe you can contact GoDaddy and get a refund of some kind. If you bought domain nam you can use it with Weebly.

Here is what I have for the third page. I change a few things around.

I would love to create a truly spectacular display for your next special occasion. Whether it is a wedding cake or something special for a birthday celebration, I will work with you to "WOW" your guests! Thank you so much JaimeAnn ! Its so interesting to hear that you had the same issue as me. They advertise how easy it is to get people to buy, then their "Tech Support" tells you that you should just pay them to build it. Makes me sooo MAD !! Anyway, I love your site, its perfect! And I agree w/everyone about all of your flavors....YUM !!!!!!

JaimeAnn I hope I haven't over stepped! I used GoDaddy for my last website, I had a dayspa, but also found it was a bit too cumbersome to use. I do caking as a hobby now and the spa was closed last year due to health reasons and I miss it a lot. I did have an enourmous amount of help with the website from my daughter who is a marketing media specialist so it was picked apart until perfect. It tooks months before it was ready to go live. And if you only have dial-up it most be sooooooo slow. I like what it looks like. The colours are great. My site was actually the same brown and aqua. I like how the pics open up nice and clear. And cannot wait until you have more loaded as one of my fav past times is to browse cake photos for inspiration. Keep up the good work! Oh and pray tell how do you make root beer cake????? icon_biggrin.gif

Pacific- No Way, you have not overstepped.. I really appreciate all the help! It really helps for someone else to look at the site as I get tunnel vision when at it... hahhahah

My Rootbeer cake uses my Basic white cake for the base and "flat" rootbeer for the liquid . I then add Lorann root beer flavoring (1 dram) and a tad of brown food coloring. The kids love it!

I may sound dumb, but I have lived in Cali for most of my life and have no idea where the IE is ... hahahahahahahahah

I am about 50 miles east of Bakersfield . Just moved here from Bakersfield in January and before that I was in Ventura County. Born and raised in the Oxnard/Port Hueneme area.

The above is copy and pasted from your site. The first couple of sentences aren't full sentences. It should read......If you are looking for something completely unique or you have found inspiration in a cake photo, contact me so that we can create something AMAZING!

I also agree you need to get rid of the random capitalizations. (truly Special!)

Personally, I would go through and delete all of the periods that are at the end of phrases that are not sentences. As an example, I would delete the period at the end of this phrase....Welcome to

sry, one more suggestion!

don't have paragraphs of text in italics, like in your cakeshoppe info and you pricing page. it's fine for short text, like your cake/icing flavors, but it's harder for users to read if many sentences are italicized.

Hi JamieAnn:

Under Cake Shoppe Info:

This is just me, but as an advertising specialist, I have a thing against repeating words very close to each other:

I would love to create a truly spectacular display for your next special occasion. Whether it is a wedding cake or something special for a birthday celebration, I will work with you to "WOW" your guests!

Maybe you could change it to read:
I would love to create a truly spectacular display for your next special occasion. Whether it's a wedding cake or something unique for a birthday celebration, I will work with you to "WOW" your guests!

Next you have the word "best" used 3 times:
I have put a lot of research into the development of my recipes, use only the best ingredients and strive to create not only the best looking desserts but also the best tasting.

Maybe you could change it to read:
I have put a lot of research into the development of my recipes, use only quality ingredients, and strive to create impressive looking desserts that taste amazing.

I hope to help make your next occasion truly SPECIAL !
You have an extra space between SPECIAL and the apostrophe

Thank You ---- should be Thank you

It's 2am so I'll look at your other pages later.

Between all your CC friends, you are going to have an amazing site!!!

Okay, I changed the things you mentioned. I am going to leave the font the way it is. It isn't a strong italic, and it looks really close to my hand writtting, hahhahah . I just like the way it looks.

Thanks for the help and suggestions!

My degree is in English so I'm picky about certain stuff. I love the overall look of the site. It looks really nice and professional.

On the CakeShoppe Info page, the Wow in the third paragraph shouldn't be in quotes. The "you" in the last paragraph shouldn't be capitalized either.

On the Ordering & Pricing Page, the word event should not be in quotes. Under Pricing, the word Prices should not be capitalized. Sculpted, Fondant, and Buttercream also do not need to be capitalized.

Other than those things I think it looks great. After reading your list of flavors I really want some cake now.
