I want to make a cake,but first of all I need to know if I can make the fondat figures like 8 months before I need them , I wonder if it can be???????I want to make a circus theme cake and I need to design the figures but all depend how long the fondat will be good and how do I need to store it.Also I want help to know if there any better option to make figures than fondat,like marzipan or another one. I´m a beginner that´s why I have a lot of questions,if someone can help..... please.Thank you so much.

I have fondant/gumpaste flowers that I made last summer that I use on family cakes for decoration purposes only. (No one wants to eat year old flowers.) I imagine no one would be eating your circus animals, right?
