HSN is having a pretty cool today's special today that I could see coming in REALLY handy for people who like to use the cricut cake with MTC or SCAL. It's called the VuPoint Magic Wand. It has really good reviews on Amazon. You can scan about anything with it - patterns from your wallpaper - your bedding - the floor! Anything that can lay "flat" but at any angle. Also good for photos or magazines, books, newspapers - and it's totally portable.

Just thought I'd let anyone know who might be interested. I picked one up - I've been wanting a portable scanner for awhile and this is even better than the others I've seen where you have to "feed" a piece of paper through - this one can scan over any surface.

Today it is 89.99, comes with some software and a 2MB card and carrying case. Amazon is listing it as 99.99 without software or SD card - plus flex payments so like $37 to get it home. It's on the front page of HSN's website - today's special.
