I am doing a two tier round cake for a friend's mom 50th birthday. Since she was born in 1960 they are wanting to do a 1960's theme cake. The only ideas I have is smiley faces and twister, but I have no idea. I haven't even found anything by searching online. Anyone have any ideas to make the cake flow and look great?

Make the top tier 1/2 bowl and cover in a gray fondant. make craters in it as like the moon. place a spaceman with a flag to represent the first moon landing.

Rowan & Martin's Laugh in was a big thing back then, the wall is famous and would be great for a 60s theme.

It was the era of flower children, mini skirts, smiley faces, peace signs, black lights, florescent colors, and hippies.

Don't forget to post a picture. Sounds like it's going to be a FUN cake! icon_biggrin.gif
