I would like to know how to make fondant. I want to make a FSU football helmet for a birthday cake. Does anyone have any ideas

there are lots of fondant recipes in the recipes section. to achieve an actual gold color, i would paint it with gold shimmer dust mixed with a tiny bity of vodka

I would color the fondant first, use a bit of a golden yellow mixed with a bit of brown. After you've applied your fondant then I would use the gold dust/vodka combo, works great!!
