I want to make a boston terrier cake for my brother-in-law. I'm not sure where to start. Should I try to piece, well, pieces together? I saw some online that used rice krispie treats for part of it. Or perhaps it's better to try to straight out carve it. I've never carved before.

How do you attach the head? I've used the 3D lamb pan for a few cakes, and that's a stable cake, but I'm not sure I want the dog looking to the side. Plus, the last 2 cakes I've done for family have used that pan. I want it to look a little different.

Any ideas?
