Hi everyone! I figured I would scratch the brains of the cake extradionares for a minute and try to get an answer to this question. For my son's Kindergarten graduation I wanted to make an owl cake like Debbie Brown's. Unfortunately my bookstores are all sold out of the books. icon_cry.gif So I was going to try and wing it on my own <<no pun intended>>. I would appreciate any help. I have attached a picture of the cake thanks to Curly Cakes on Flickr. Thanks for all your help in advance.

Looks like about 4 round layers carved.

Or a wonder mold pan, or one of the Pampered Chef batter bowls

Carved, wonder mold, or pyrex would all work.
