There is a picture from Little Venice Cake Corp in issue number 2 that is a 4 layer square cake with white pleats and numerous green flower varieties in 4 layers as well. The picture is on the left side near the back of the magazine. There is bird wall paper behind the cake and on the right side is a picture from Christy Albertson.
I do know some are hydrangea and orchids but I want to make the other options - one has a ton of flower petals and one is round.
Can anyone help me?
Now wouldn't that be nice if there was a tutorial telling us how to make the green mini mums. I like the look of those. And those mums - WOW - looks difficult!
W-O-W! I could practice 20 hours a day for the next 20 years and never be that awesome.
There is a tutorial in the new Floral arranging book from Alan Dunn that shows how to make these. I made them for a cake last month. They came out ok, not a realistic as I would of wanted them to. But basically what you do is twiddle green gumpaste on wires, several of them, and then arrange them around a daisy center. You have to bend them in somewhat to be like a backwards C before they dry though.
I suspect your magazine will arrive this week. I just received mine the day I posted the inquiry.
I hope I get mine one of these days. Today is Friday and I still don't have it. I am begining to think that somone stole it - seriously - would be easy to do as it makes it way through the mail system.
Okay - I've been snoozing at the KA - please tell me about a LVCC mag .
that pic is from cc mag #2
Those are fresh flowers, but you can make pretty realistic button mums with a grass tip.
