Hi. I am wondering if I need to use supporting dowels in the cake if I am placing just a 6" square cake board with figures ontop of a 9" cake (not a 6" cake - figures only!). Thanks.

How heavy are the figures?

You should be fine, especially if you are putting them on top of a sugarpaste covered Madeira type cake icon_smile.gif
