Can anyone tell me how I can get dye gum paste a maroon red?

thats a hard color to achieve depending on what you are making i would either add alittle brown to red. Or what i prefer to do (when making flowers that can handle a variation) I would start with red paste, then brush dry powdered color over it in a brown and finish with a red layer. It is something you will have to play with to get the color right for you. But i find when looking to make different colors that layering the colors one on top of the other works very well.
