I have tried a few buttercreams but I still don't know if I have met the "one". I want one that tastes delicious and crusts well.

If you have a favorite buttercream recipe can you post it? I have searched the recipe pages for buttercreams and marked a few so far.

I like Indydebi's BC and sugarshacks BC. Both in the recipe section.

Here's my favorite:

You can sub out butter for the shortening, or use half butter/half shortening (I do it that way), and don't use all of the cream, just enough to get it to the consistency you need.

I love Buttercream Dream, but I usually use whipping cream in place of the milk. It's delicious, has great consistency, and is very crusting and pipeable.

Thanks for all the replies!

Indydebi's is the recipe I have used twice now and I loved it both times! I just wanted to make sure I was using one of the best out there. A family member makes cakes sometimes and I loathe the buttercream they use. It is always very blah.
