I'm making a Chocolate Stout cake and my standard chocolate frosting has cinnamon in it - not sure if those flavors would meld. icon_confused.gif

I was just going to eliminate the cinnamon, but I wondered if anyone had any other ideas for a frosting or filling that would go well with this flavor cake.

TIA

I think an Irish Cream buttercream would be really good.

1 stick unsalted butter
3-4 cups powdered sugar
4-8 tbps Bailey's

I have made this before and it is really good.

I think IndyDebi's buttercream works really well with it. I've always made it with hers and the sweetness of the frosting and mild richness of the chocolate stout cake come together wonderfully.

But if you're looking for something other than that, maybe a chocolate mint icing? icon_smile.gif

HTH! Good luck.
