I need to place an order for fondant and figured I'd tack on some more items since I'll be paying so much for the shipping already. What are some of your favorite/most used cutters?
I use my stars the most..the small 5 petal fowers.Small daisy cutter...Basically misc flowers as I am always putting them on cakes.
definitely flowers.........the different sized 5 petal flowers (they can be used to make gumpaste roses too)
My most used cutters are 804 or 805 Ateco piping tips which I use to cut out very small rounds of gumpaste to make stylized roses/peonies. Those are currently the most popular flower I make these days, although I am rebelling a bit and making sweet peas for a display cake.
I love my huge set of circle cutters, my "generic" leaf, and the PME plunge small daisy-ish cutters. Be aware that fondant is heavy and can damage delicate items in the same box. Some suppliers will separate out those delicate items and ship in another box - and charge more to do so......
Squares, diamonds (the long ones), circles, hearts, stars, butterflies and flowers are what I use most.
The cutters I use more are the PME cutters with plunger!
There's nothing like them and you make lots of veined leaves or flowers in a minute! All perfect and ready to use.
