How long does piping gel (wilton) keep after the container is opened? Should I store it in the fridge?

It keeps a long time. I have had a container open for 2 months now & it's still good. In fact I used it today & it was fine. In the winter time I leave it out in the pantry but in the summer I have to put it in the frig. Too hot & humid here.

I've had some that is probably 6 months old and it's still good .. it will keep for a long time.
