I'm making my best friend a "sex in the city" themed cake for her birthday and her favorite drink is a cosmo...I'm looking for a tasty cosmo cake recipe and suggestions on fillings and BC...Thanks

I haven't made this, but I asked for a recipe and got a whole file FULL of recipes. This one was in it....


Cosmopolitan WASC - Larkin121
Half recipe WASC using the following substitions for the liquids and extracts:
3/4 cup cranberry juice concentrate
1/4 cup water
1/3 cup Triple Sec
2 tsp lime zest
1 tsp orange extract


WASC - Rebecca Sutterby version w/ egg whites
2 boxes white cake mix
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups granulated sugar
1 1/2 teas. salt
8 egg whites
2 2/3 cups water
4 Tbls. vegetable oil
2 cups (16oz carton) sour cream
2 teaspoon clear vanilla flavor
2 teaspoons almond extract
*Mix all dry ingredients by hand using a whisk in a very large mixing bowl. Add the rest of the ingredients and beat on low speed for 2 minutes. Bake at 325 degrees.

I apologize for not thanking you sooner but Thank you SO much for this recipe...I wanted to let you know that this cake is AMAZING!!!! I made it last night and I definately think it's my new favorite flavor of cake...the orange with a hint of lime taste great...i am going to top it with an orange-lime butter cream...again thank you and sorry I'm just now getting a chance to thank you icon_biggrin.gif

it was excellent and everyone loved...I didn't tell them the flavor and I was making them guess...it's was neat to hear the different flavors they thought it tasted like...
