There are different gumpaste recipes. This is the one that I use: http://www.nicholaslodge.com/gumpaste.htm

It has tylose in the recipe. To make gum glue mix a small amount of tylose with some water and let it dissolve.

You can also purchase premade gumpaste.

I think there are several recipes to make gumpaste, I have not yet made it, but for gumpaste glue you just take a tsp of gumpaste tear it itty bitty pieces of gumpaste and add some water. Then put it in the refrigerator to dissolve. Shake it up everytime you open the fridge, should last about 2 weeks icon_smile.gif

If you leave it out overnight with a paintbrush stuck in it, it turns grayish black icon_biggrin.gif

Hahahaha, let me guess how you found out. icon_biggrin.gif

Mine got this nasty jellyfish-like gray/black cloud in it. Man, it was nasty.

Mine too, but I thought it was discoloration from the metal part of the paintbrush. I didn't use it, just dumped it out. I have left some out before with no paintbrush and it didn't turn colors.

I use that recipe too. For the glue, I put one part gumpaste to two parts water in an empty almond essence bottle and stuck it in the fridge over night, and it worked great. Shake before use.
