Hi,
I have some of the molding material from the Make Your Own Molds site and have a question for anyone with experience...

I know you need to use the molding material within a year. Do they break down after continual use or are they good for a long time once you make your mold?

Thanks!

Hi elliebuff - Shelf life of my silicone mold making materials is about a year unmixed. Once you combine parts A and B and make a mold, there is not shelf life concerns. I am constantly trying to make my materials as strong as they can be while still passing the FDA testing that is required for Food Grade Silicone. You should find that if your molds are of commercial quality and should last a very long time.

Hi Dominic,
Yay! I have made several sugar bottles with the mold I have and haven't had any trouble, but wanted to be sure.

I love your product!

Thanks for the reply...
Ellie
