rammstien, brilliant band! saw them live! lead singer crowd surfed in a dingy!! one of there very heavy songs if i remeber rightly, the lyrics translate to puppy dogs and beautiful sun shine lol, amazing!

Ha ha, Crowded House also has a song called "Chocolate Cake", but it's about fat, stupid people. Not exactly the same theme as "Cut the Cake" but also not about cake per se.
And it showed my age that when I read the title of Cut The Cake the song started going through my head without having to read the post. "Cut the Cake! Cut the Cake!" No, not about pastry.
This one IS about cake, but it's kid of disturbing.

There actually is a song dedicated to cake Bob, but it's in German.
My DH had a CD that was in all German and he new just a few words but liked the beat (sounded kind of like a hard rock band.) He had our friend from Germany translate it after he listened to it for a few months wondering what it was saying. She just laughed her butt off and told him it's a recipe for a cake made with no eggs. Whenever the crowd was chanting they were saying "AND NO EGGS!"
My DH said he can't get away from cake ever and it's even following him through song. Come to think of it he quit listening to it soon after that.
The group's name started with an R. I think it was Rhamstien, but I'm probably either spelling it wrong or am wrong with the bands name completely.
the song is called "Die Eier Von Satan". the song actually is a recipe for a dessert called The Balls (Eggs) of Satan. where the crowd is chanting "and no eggs!!!" it is saying that satan's balls (eggs) are missing. but it is a real recipe. lol. not sure i want to go through the trouble of translating the song to make them tho. hehe.
