What dimensions would be best and would you just carve down a 9x13 pan or is there a better way to do it? Also, any advice on making the lid? ( I would like it off and to in an angle with the tissue paper hanging out.
I want to make a full size gumpaste shoe with the accompanying box, and would appreciate any help!

There are many wonderful ones on here, but one thing that sticks out I remember was someone used a strofoam top lid and just covered that.
That way it wasn't so heavy when trying to balance.

If you want everything edible you can use a large cookie covered in fondant for the lid.
