Hello fellow CC's. It's nice to be back! Fractured ankle, holidays and vacation are finally behind me! lol Several months ago I purchased some cake dummies and I'm just now using them for the second time. The problem I'm having is the cake dummies themselves aren't smooth so my fondant is turning out horrible. I did roll them on the counter to smooth the edges as other CC's suggested however the factory cuts aren't very good at all. They have indentations going down the middle of them. I really didn't know enough at the time that I should have returned them so now I'm stuck with them. Do any of you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Try covering them with Royal Icing before covering them with the fondant. That should help you to even out and hide the cut marks. HTH
