Greetings,
I'm having a hard time trying to get the burgundy/red color for the Redskins cake I'm making. I've looked online and seen red and this dark burgundy color. This is the closest I can get. What does it need? Oh, I've also attached my practice FBCT.

I did a Virginia Tech cake with that color. I mixed a lot of red and some burgundy. I also added some cocoa powder, and that really seemed to help!

Try letting the icing sit for a few hours and see if the color darkens.
I did a A&M cake with a dark maroon and my color looked about like that until I let it rest over night and it was perfect in the morning.

Greetings All,
I didn't get any notifications that I got replies. I let it sit. I've attached a practice cake photo with what I plan on doing. It darkened a little bit. I added brown to it.
