How Much To Make? And Other Set Up Questions
Decorating By motherofgrace Updated 11 Dec 2009 , 12:13am by motherofgrace
I am going to be starting my business in a monthly craft show and I dont know how much of everything to make!
I will be selling cookies, cake balls, and cupcakes for now.
How many of each product should I put together?
Also what size table should I get do you think? 4' ($40) 6' ($50) 8' ($60)
I should mention that this is a more upbeat craft show, how should I set up my table?
Any ideas or wisdom will be much appreciated!
I wouldn't take tons and tons of stuff the first time that you go - take what you think you can reasonably sell. That way you aren't left with a lot of leftovers. Then after that day, you will be able to sit down and figure out if you need to make more and if you need to make less. If your price is right, or if you need to adjust it. And you could even ask your customers that day what else they would like to purchase from you.
Hope this helps.
I'm going to move this the Business to the Decorating forum, since members who participate in craft fairs and such may/may not be traditional business owners. (Hopefully, you'll get more responses.)
You're most welcome.
Now I remember several threads on selling at craft fairs and farmers markets, some went well - others not so much:
