Please Help Me With This Gingerbread House......

Hi, this is my first time making a gingerbread house....can i secure it to a cake board with RI or something? What should i do? The pre-made gingerbread house kits come with the base that you can stick everything in but it's not big enough for what i want to do. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated...i have to get this done by Wednesday morning for a contest at work. HELP!!!!!

When I do my houses I do secure it to the board with royal icing. I also sometimes put a cross bar which is made of gingerbread on the board so there is a little support. The most important thing is to have fun while doing it.

This is totally cheating but every year we buy the kits to decorate and leave out as decoration through December-- I use my hot glue gun to glue all of the parts of the house together, and to secure it to the board---it dries in a flash and is so sturdy. The fun part is the decorating anyway!! :O) -- I guess this wouldn't work if you wanted to eat the house later though!!
