Have never tried Antonia's74 R.I. I was wondering if Icould half the recipe to see if I liked it.So how much P.S. do I need? 1 1/8 lbs? 4 1/8 cups correct?

I weigh mine, not sure of the conversion but yes you can halve it.

No need to half this recipe. I use Antonia's74 R.I. all the time. Never use anything else since I tried this one.

It will save just fine. Keep it well covered in a cool, dry place. I remember once that someone asked Helen how you know if it is still good and she said to do the sniff test. Well, she put it more eloquently, but you can tell when its time is done. It will last for quite a while though.
